This is an IN PERSON Lay Servant Academy. It is expected participants will be present for the entire day. Participants are expected to have read the required reading and to have completed the pre-class assignment prior to the event. Participants can participate in only one class. Anyone can take any of the classes.

Leading Public Prayer - This meets the Leading Prayer is REQUIRED for those seeking to become Certified Lay Speakers. Praying in public can be daunting, but prayer is something one learns. This course on praying in public will help the participant grow in confidence and skill in public prayer and enrich their personal prayer life. The required text is Shaping the Prayers of the People: The Art of Intercession by Samuel Wells and Abigail Kocher. It is available through Amazon for $14.36 and in Kindle version for $11.99. Participants are expected to have read the book prior to class. The class will be taught by Rev. Karen Bray.
Soul Reset - This is a new advanced class. Will you slow down long enough for a Soul Reset and lean on Jesus for rest? Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, this class will offer practical help for stepping away from constant busyness and allowing God to transform your life. The required text is Soul Reset: Breakdown, breakthrough, and the Journey to Wholeness by Junius B. Dotson. It is available through Amazon for $14.99. Participants are expected to have read the required text prior to the class. The class will be taught by Rev. Branden Scott.
