Getting to Know You

Are you reluctant to initiate meaningful conversations with those you don’t know well? In an increasingly unchurched culture, Jesus relies on us to share the good news of how his love and grace have transformed our lives.

In this workshop, we’ll learn tips and practice/role play as we learn how to:

Initiate conversation and connections with strangers we meet in the course of our day by noticing and listening;

Greet newcomers to our church in a way that helps them feel welcomed, but not overwhelmed, as we go beyond the simple “Good morning, we’re glad you’re here”

Develop our “spiritual autobiography” to craft stories that can be shared to build a bridge of connection with others
