Fall 2020 License to Preach

Friday, August 21- Saturday, November 14, 2020

The License to Preach school enables candidates to complete training when their primary vocation makes it difficult to attend a residential school.  The school provides the required contact hours of learning at times that are possible for such persons to participate. 

Admission Requirements
The Division of Ordained Ministry (Nashville, TN) requires that before acceptance in a licensing school, a person must have been certified as a candidate for licensed and/or ordained ministry.  For certification information contact your Conference Superintendent and/or chair of District Committee on Ministry (dCOM).

You will need access to a computer with internet that will allow listening to lectures, submitting written and visual presentations and chatting online with other class members.  The first and last sessions are face-to-face; all others are online.

Tuition
The tuition fee for Indiana Conference candidates is $425 per person.  Financial assistance may be available through your conference or district.  For non-INUMC members the tuition is $675 per person.  No partial payments.  All payments must be received on or before August 15, 2020.

Refunds
Cancellations received by August 15, 2020 at 11:59 pm via email to localpastors@inumc.org will be eligible for a refund less processing fee.  After this date there will be no refunds.

Attendance Policy
Attendance at the all sessions is essential.  Absence may require withdrawal from the school.

Check payments must be mailed within 7 days of registration.  Please include a copy of your registration with your check.
