Central District Lay Servant Academy

This course is offered by the Central District Lay Servant Ministries team. It is a course - Life Together in the United Methodist Connection (United Methodist Polity) - that meets the requirements as an advanced course for recognition as a Certified Lay Servant or a Certified Lay Speaker within the Indiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. All lay persons in the Indiana Annual Conference are invited!

The course will be held on two successive Sunday afternoons via the Zoom meeting platform. The classes will meet from 2:30 - 4:30 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on the afternoons of Sunday, February 21st and Sunday, February 28th. Participants need access to a computer, phone, tablet or other device which can access online Zoom events. An access link will be provided after registration.

Cost: $15.00 per person

Registration deadline: Maximum number of residents or February 15, 2021 at 11:59 pm - whichever comes first.

Cancellation policy: cancellations must be received via email to lisa.timmerman@inumc.org by 11:59 pm on February 15, 2021 to be eligible for a refund less processing fee. No refunds after this date.

Required course text must be purchased by each participant (Cokesbury.com, Amazon.com). Participants must read course text or materials in advance, be prepared to actively participate in the course in order to receive course certification.
