This course is offered by the Central District Lay Servant Ministries team. It is a course - Introduction to Lay Ministry - The Basic Course - that meets the requirements as the initial course for recognition as a Certified Lay Servant or Certified Lay Speaker within the Indiana Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. All lay persons in the Indiana Annual Conference are invited!
The course will be held on two successive Sunday afternoons via the Zoom meeting platform. The classes will meet from 2:30 - 4:30 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on the afternoons of Sunday, July 11th and Sunday, July 18th. Participants need access to a computer, phone, tablet, or other device which can access online Zoom events. An access link will be provided after registration.
Cost: $15.00 per person

Participants must read course text or materials in advance, be prepared to actively participate in the course in order to receive course certification.
