Called to Preach - This class meets the preaching requirement for those seeking to become Certified Lay Speakers. It is designed for those who have not completed formal preaching training, for pastors seeking a basic refresher course, and for others who are called upon to preach in a pastor's absence. The required text is: From Pew to Pulpit by Clifton F. Guthrie. It is available through Amazon for $13.49 and in Kindle version for $9.99. The instructor is Rev. Dan Berger. The class will be on Zoom or in person at Congress Street UMC. You must choose if you will attend in person or on Zoom during registration.
