Fall 2022 License to Preach

Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022- Friday, November 4, 2022

The License to Preach school enables certified candidates to complete the educational requirements needed for being licensed for pastoral ministry.  The Fall 2022 semester will be in an online format with learning content and instruction delivered and hosted by the Candler School of Theology.  Small groups will be led by facilitators from the Indiana Conference and will be required at different times during the semester for some of the learning modules.  

Admission Requirements
The Division of Ordained Ministry (Nashville, TN) requires that before acceptance in a licensing school, a person must have been certified as a candidate for licensed and/or ordained ministry.  For certification information contact your Conference Superintendent and/or chair of District Committee on Ministry (dCOM).

You will need access to a computer with internet that will allow listening to lectures, submitting written and visual presentations and chatting online with other class members.

Dates: September 10- November 4, 2022

The tuition fee for Indiana Conference candidates is $425 per person.  Financial assistance may be available through your conference or district.  For non-INUMC members the tuition is $675 per person.  No partial payments.  All payments must be received on or before September 1, 2022.

Cancellations received by September 1, 2022, at 11:59 pm via email to localpastors@inumc.org will be eligible for a refund less processing fee.  After this date there will be no refunds.

Attendance Policy
Attendance at all session is required.  Absence may require withdrawal from the school.
